Angel Ace Is Breaking Borders
Dec 7th
One of Spain’s most prolific dance music producer is Angel Acebrón Torres. You may know him through his aliases Serenade, Micheal Delving or Angel Ace. He got our attention with his track this year called “Everything’s Gonna Be Fine.” Angel was voted Spanish Trance producer of 2005 and 2006 consecutively by DJ One Magazine. His colourful discography since 2003 consists of a string of quality productions and remixes that infuse new age and uplifting trance.
This is his exclusive interview with Radio KUL Extra.

Angel Ace
Hi Angel. Thanks for doing the interview. How are you today?
Hello guys! Fine thanks! I’m very proud to be part of your project with my guestmix and this interview.
Tell us about Only One Records.
Only One is my personal dream and it’s turning into a reality bit by bit. Many producers have taken an interest in my project, which has been supported by many top DJs around the world (Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Above and Beyond, Aly and Fila, DJ Shah, and many others). Since the beginning, we’ve received very good tracks and I think the quality of the label is rising. We are establishing ourselves into the important online stores.
You have quite a lot of experience in radio. Do you have a particular interest in radio shows and where can we listen to your show?
Yeah! I love radio shows. I have 3 monthly shows and many guestmixes. You can listen to me on the second Tuesday of every month on Afterhours.FM, and on the fourth Wednesday of every month on ETN.FM.
What has been your favourite record of 2009?
It’s a difficult choice. In my opinion 2009 has a been a great year for tunes but my favourite is Andy Blueman’s “Neverland.”
2009 has been a great year for you, especially with your hit “Everything’s Gonna Be Fine” that we love so much. What’s in store for 2010?
I have finished several tunes and remixes for 2010 but I’m not sure when it will be released. I have a new tune as Angel Ace called “St. Thomas” which I hope will be released with great remixes, and I have a new track as my alias Micheal Delving, a new Serenade and remixes for Simon Pitt, Redsound and more surprises in store.
What influences are apparent in your productions and remixes?
I’m always looking for a great melody that can be remembered, so my productions are always influenced by magical soundtracks and new age producers.
What is the trance scene like in Spain?
The Spanish trance scene is not yet where it can be. There isn’t enough support and there are only a few producers and DJs are who are trying to spread this style of music. There are some events in Barcelona, Madrid, and Navarra, etc. These are great parties but still with a limited audience.
What advice would you give aspiring dance music producers?
They must believe in their dream and they must have illusion, these things are indispensable for being a great artiste.
Is there an artiste, DJ or producer that you would like to collaborate with?
Many! But I choose Ferry Corsten, Mike Oldfield, Vangelies, or Hans Zimmer. This would be great!
Can you tell us 3 artistes that have been influential and inspiring to you.
Ferry Corsten, Vangelis, and Aly and Fila amongst many others.
What has been your favourite Angel Ace production or remix and why?
Without a doubt “776 Miles.” It was a special tune for me and it was supported by one of my idols, Ferry Corsten.
What’s currently playing on your iPod?
Trance music from well known producers and some new talent too, and also one demo and some new age music.
And lastly, a quick message to all your fans reading this!
Many thanks for all your support and your believe in this dream that we share. I hope to see you soon and thanks for your interest in my music!
