Stoneface & Terminal To Celebrate 150 Episodes of Radio KUL
Well we think there’s no need to introduce these guys. Henry Nix and Matthias Gierth aka Stoneface & Terminal will be providing the guestmix on our 150th edition of Radio KUL this Friday. We have always admired this German dynamic duo for their distinct sound heard on timeless records such as “Incognition,” “Stardust,” “Don’t Give A F*ck” and most recently, “Moment.” Their consistent releases on Euphonic and their outstanding live performances make them one of the most sought after DJ acts on the planet at the moment.
Here they are for this Radio KUL Extra interview.

Stoneface & Terminal
Hi guys! Wonderful to be speaking with you. How are things?
Henry: Hi, everything’s fine, we just finished 2 new remixes. Busy but happy!
“Moment” is a fantastic tune! Who provided the vocals, and what has been the reaction so far?
Matthias: It rocks the dancefloors around the world and made it to number 1 on several charts. Furthermore we got great feedback from people from all around the globe. So it’ goin to be the next big thing after “Don’t Give A Fuck” :o)
Henry: The vocals are done by a friend of us; he’s the lead singer of a rock band from our hometown. We asked him if he wanted to come to our studio to do some vocals for us, and it became “Moment.”.
What was it like working with Susana on “Sunrise?”
Henry: We know writer Raz Nitzan very well. We already worked with him on some of our tracks. He asked us if we were interested in doing a track with Susana. We wrote some chords and Susana and Raz came up with the vocals, then we finished the track. It was pretty relaxed working with them!
Can we ask you what “St. Francis Foley?” is?
Matthias: Actually it’s called St. Francis Folly, my favorite Level in the Game Tomb Raider 1. We changed it into “St. Francis Foley”. No clue why we changed it … hah.
Are there any plans to come up with a full S&T album?
Henry: Since we released our first album “Wide Range” successfully, we’ve been working on a lot of new stuff. But there is no particular date or so as yet. We will release a new album as soon as we have enough great tracks together.
When you guys go on tour, what’s the track that always gets the crowd heated!
Matthias: There are many tracks like “Blueprint,” “Super Nature,” Stardust,” “Don’t Give A Fuck,” “Moment,” and many Stoneface & Terminal remixes. We are happy that we can play 80% of own tracks in our sets without getting bored.
What’s the strangest thing you guys have seen on tour?
S&T : There was a guy dancing in front of us with a bottle on his head. He was dancing like crazy but the bottle never fell from his head .. weird.
Which vocalists would you like to collaborate with in the near future?
S&T : JES or Fisher.
What is the plan for the rest of 2010?
S&T : Making great music, traveling a lot and playing great gigs.
You’ve been to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia before. Any plans to come back soon?
Matthias: Not yet but we want to come back as soon as possible. We love to play there!
A message to your fans around the world reading this!
S&T : Thanks a lot for your support and all the nice comments on Twitter and Facebook :o) See you guys around the planet!
